ABSTRACT:
Background/Objectives: The purpose of the study is to explore childcare facility usage experience of dual income parents in their perspectives and to understand how these experiences influence their lives. Methods/Statistical analysis: In the interview data, implied meaning, values, and signs that could represent relation between other contexts or concepts were carefully reviewed. For analysis and interpretative process of collected data for this study, this study referred to process and procedure in accordance with the theory of life history research which is a qualitative research method proposed in the research method of the study. Findings: The study selected qualitative case study and in-depth interviews and document collection was used for data collection. This study results are as follows. First is the process of alternative parenting selection in dual income parents. And is the response from parents according to use of childcare facilities by children. Third is the role and meaning of childcare facilities to parents. The study attempted repetitive categorization based on interview contents after exploring childcare facilities usage experience of dual income parents and as a result, for subjects, childcare facility selection process, meaning of child care facilities adaptation of children, meaning of childcare facilities, and role of family were derived. Improvements/Applications: It is determined that there needs to be prompt establishment of systematic national support systems for parenting.
