ABSTRACT:
The menstrual cycle phases of female are associated with hormonal changes which effect the autonomic regulations of heart. This study analyzes the HRV variations in females across the menstrual cycle phases by using time domain HRV analysis techniques. 105 females throughout the menstrual cycle volunteered for this study. The obtained results show that the pNN50and RMSSD attained greater accuracy in analyzing the variations of heart among the phases as compared to other linear techniques. It is concluded from the results that the HRV in the luteal phase is less than HRV in the follicular and menstrual phase. Also, HRV in menstrual phase is less than the HRV in the follicular phase.
