ABSTRACT:
The term "fast-dissolving" refers to tablets that, when placed on the tongue, dissolve instantly and release the medication within a few seconds. Since tablets can take up to a minute to fully dissolve, superdisintegrants are chemicals that speed up the disintegration process in the oral cavity. Compared to other superdisintegrants used in fast-dissolving tablets, sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and croscarmellose sodium exhibit faster disintegration times. Tablets that dissolve quickly, made with the direct compression technique. FTIR characteristics of compressed tablets were obtained. Additionally, it analyzes the drug content, disintegration time, homogeneity of weight, hardness, thickness, friability, and in vitro dissolution research. Two different superdisintegrants were used in the procedure, and the end product was tablets with favorable properties such not chipping, capping, or adhering. When treating nausea and vomiting especially in patients receiving chemotherapy, the designed dose form may prove to be a useful substitute for the standard dosage form.
