ABSTRACT:
Diabetes mellitus is a growing concern, and coumarins with thiazole groups have shown promise in managing the disease with fewer side effects. Thiazolyl coumarin derivatives were synthesized and characterized via IR, Mass, and ¹H NMR spectroscopy. In-silico analysis against a-glucosidase and a-amylase revealed that compounds C1, C2, and C3 had the highest docking scores compared to acarbose. Antioxidant and antidiabetic activities were assessed, with C4 showing the strongest a-amylase inhibition and C7 the highest a-glucosidase inhibition. Compounds C1 and C3 showed significant activity in both assays, making them strong candidates for further hypoglycaemic development.
