ABSTRACT:
Mannich reaction between 6-substituted-2-aminobenzothiazole and 1-(5- substituted-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) ethanone in presence of formalin yield ten new mannich bases. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by UV, IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The analgesic activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated, on albino mice, by hot plate method using acetyl salicylic acid as reference standard. The present investigation results into compounds possessing good analgesic activity.
