ABSTRACT:
A simple, sensitive, rapid, accurate and precise simultaneous UV-spectrophotometric method was developed for the estimation of nitazoxanide and ofloxacin dosage form. Ratio of absorbance at two selected wavelengths, one of which an isoabsorbance point and being the ? max of the one of the two components. Ofloxacin has absorbance maxima at 300nm and nitazoxanide has absorbance maxima at 344nm in Ethanol. The isoabsorbance point of ofloxacin and nitazoxanide was found to be 347nm. Linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 2-25µg/ml for each nitazoxanide and ofloxacin Result of analysis have been validated statically and by recovery studies.
