ABSTRACT:
A simple, sensitive, accurate and precise spectrophotometric method has been developed for the estimation of prulifloxacin in pharmaceutical formulation. Prulifloxacin shows maximum absorbance at 273 nm in 0.1 N HCl. The linearity was observed in the concentration range of 2-14 µg/mL. The method was validated statistically. The developed methods have been successfully applied for the determination of prulifloxacin in tablet dosage form. The recovery studies confirmed the accuracy of the proposed method.
