ABSTRACT:
Asavas and Aristas have been used as medicine for over 3000 years as appetizer and stimulant. Objective of this study was to determine the level of ethanol, pH, total solid content, density and surface tension, in commercial available Asavas and Aristas to establish a routine procedure for standardization of these ayurvedic formulations. In the present study different brands of Asavas and Aristas were bought from local market and thoroughly examined.
