ABSTRACT:
A simple, specific, precise and accurate Spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of Linezolid by Spectrophotometric method in tablet dosage forms. Linezolid shows absorption maximum at 251 nm. The calibration curve was developed at wavelength 251 nm and validated according to ICH Guidelines. Spectrophotometric method linear response obtained was in the concentration range of 4-18 µg/ml with correlation coefficient 0.9982, recovery of the drug was found to be 99.71% and R.S.D. was found to be less than 2 % for precision studies. The newly developed methods can be used for routine analysis of Linezolid in tablet dosage forms.
