ABSTRACT:
The nanoparticles technology used in the recent years has great significance in improving the efficacy of the drugs. Controlled drug delivery system based on nanoparticles is now extensively used in medicine and health care. In the present study, in vitro drug controlled release of free and chitosan coated silver, egg albumin nanoparticles, incorporated meropenem, ceftazidime and the anti-biofilm effect against human pathogenic E.coli has been studied. In vitro drug controlled release studies reveals that steady state of release at increasing time. In general, all the formulation showed maximum release at 15 hours. Biofilm inhibitory effect of respective nanodrug conjugate was studied against clinical isolate of E.coli adopting spectrophotometric assay. Among the nanodrug treatment, maximum inhibition of biofilm was recorded in chitosan coated silver nanoparticles incorporated meropenem treatment.
