ABSTRACT:
Endophytes are the microorganisms present in living tissues of various plants, establishing mutual relationship apparently without any symptom of diseases. Plant Endophytes have been considered as one of the important and novel source of natural bioactive compounds. This review mainly deals with the progression of research on antimicrobial compounds from endophytes of various medicinal plants and also the importance of endophytes producing bioactive compounds is discussed.
