ABSTRACT:
Oral lesions are the causes of cancers of the oral cavity. There is increased risk of the precancerous lesion to develop into cancer. There are many nonsurgical treatment for oral lesions. . Lycopene is a carotenoid obtained from tomatoes. Studies have shown that carotenoid rich foods have reduced the risk of cancer. This article studies on the effect of lycopene on the oral lesions.
