ABSTRACT:
Asensitive, simple and accurate spectrophotometric method is developed to the quantitative determination of Metoclopramide hydrochloride and Glutathione drugs. The method depend on the interaction between the amino groups found in drugs with 1,2Naphthaquinolinc -4- Sulphonate Sodium reagent. The spectra of the products show maximum absorption at 464 and 466 nm and beer’s law obeyed at the concentration range of 0.5-20 ppm and 0.3-10 ppm with molar absorptivity 3.5×104and 3.9×104L.mole-1.Cm-1 and limit of detection (LOD) 0.079 and 0.05 ppm with quantitative limit (LOQ) 0,264 and 0.154 ppm to above drugs respectively. The percent recoveries are 98.79 and 97.39 respectively, and relative standard deviation RSD % are 0.26 and 0.15 respectively. Stability constant are 7.9×1011and1.5×1011with stoichiometry drugs to reagent 1:1 and 1:2 respectively. The method havebeen applied successfully of Metoclopramide in meclodinorel drops and Glutawhitecapsules and studying the interference of some surfactants on determination method.
