ABSTRACT:
Two simple, accurate and economical methods have been proposed for the estimation of Luliconazole in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms (Creams). Luliconazole obeys Beer Lambert’s law over the concentration range 2-30 µg/ml (?max at 300 nm) in sodium acetate buffer (pH- 5) and 2-25 µg/ml (?max at 299 nm) in distilled water respectively in zero order spectroscopy (D0). In the first order derivative (D1) spectroscopy the absorbance was measured at 316 nm (minima) in sodium acetate buffer (pH-5) and at 317 nm (minima) in distilled water. The % recovery in accuracy was found to be 98.6-101.5 & 98.2– 102.6% in zero order (D0) and 100.7-102.9 & 99.4-101.4% in first order (D1). The method was found to be precise and validated as per ICH guidelines.
