ABSTRACT:
Cryptolepis dubia previously known as Cryptolepis buchnani is used in traditional system of medicine for treatment of ailments specially bone and skin disorders. The stem of this plant having potential therapeutic activity and used by tribals, but the identification and authentication data is not available in scientific manners. To consider this an attempt has been taken to develop pharmacognostic, physicochemical and HPTLC standards. The quality standard data for Cryptolepis dubia is developed for the first time which contribute significant role in identity, authentication, evaluation of quality, and detection of adulteration.
