ABSTRACT:
Background: Stem cell therapy holds promise to improve healing process and stimulate tissue regeneration after burn injuries. Stem cell can differentiate in to the tissue and organ. Moreover, stem cell will secrete the bioactive factors known as secretome or conditioned medium. This factors has similar therapeutic effect as stem cells, one of which is as burn therapy. This research aim to evaluate the effect of secretome on histophatological and inflamatory response of burn rats infected with S.aureus. Methods: A total of 45 adult male rats, with a mean weight of 180-200 g were randomly assigned to three (3) groups, each group consisting of 15 rats. Group 1 is untreated group (C). Group 2 will be treated with bioplasenton (BIO), and group 3 secretom (SC) for 28 days. The rats will be authanized on day 7, 14 and 28 post treatment. The skin were taken for histophatological analysis and the blood for inflamatory response analysis. Result: secretom has faster wound closure, largest re-epitheliazation, fibroblast score, collagen formation and reduced cytokine pro infamation TNF-a and IFN-? on rat model burn injury. Conclution: Secretome shown better as burn healing compare to the others group.
