ABSTRACT:
The present study explores the Pharmacognostical, phytochemical, and pharmacological potential of the leaves of Plumeria alba L., with a specific focus on their antiulcer and antidiabetic activities. Plumeria alba, a plant known in traditional medicine for its therapeutic uses, was subjected to detailed investigation to validate and scientifically support these traditional claims. In order to properly identify and authenticate the plant material, microscopic investigation was performed to view the anatomical characteristics of the leaves. At the same time, Phytochemicals screening of many leaf extracts from Plumeria alba showed the presence of considerable bioactive chemicals, including glycosides, alkaloids, and flavonoids, all of which have major pharmacological activities. To assess the pharmacological effects of these extracts, experimental investigations were carried out. The results demonstrated that the extracts provided protective effects against ulcers and diabetes, likely through mechanisms such as increased mucosal defense or inhibition of acid secretion.
